I'm Seeing Stripes!
Students who get together in their spare time to solve fabricated business problems are crazy. Most students steer clear--and for a good reason. I lied. There are instances where the problems are real, but after hours of reading a packet, making a powerpoint, and arguing with other crazy students like you, they don't seem real anymore. The classroom becomes a war zone and the group loses all hope of functioning properly. I am taking a moment to contribute to the unproductive mode our group is in and publish my thoughts on the matter. Case competitions are equally exciting and frustrating. And so much of the outcome depends on the judges! As is life. In case you were wondering, the competitions (I am in the midst of two) are about launching a line of customized lollipops and the other is about a home decor and furniture company. How exciting! Million dollar question....how DO you profitably launch a personalized lollipop?

Those group projects/cases were one of my least favorite things... so I hope that a) you got to choose your group and/or b) you actually like your group. I don't know about the lollipops... that is a tough product. Go for rich people.
